On the campus in Cologne, 16 buildings and approx. 100 sending and receiving stations are to be interconnected for the dispatch of blood samples to the central laboratory and the distribution of medicines from the pharmacy.

To ensure a timely and effective distribution of the carriers (AD 160mm), 3 main transfer areas and 2 sub transfer areas as well as approx. 50 zones will be implemented.

The control of the entire system will be taken over by our modern multi-zone controller system AC 4000, which will transport the carriers in multi-carrier-operation, even over long distances.

In the new central laboratory, laboratory samples are to be automatically unloaded and transferred to the analytical instruments. This will be realized by our automatic unloading station and our special carrier inlet.

In addition, critical medications will be securely stored in intermediate storage unit and can only be retrieved individually by authorized persons. (secured transport)

In its final stage, this project will set a milestone in Germany with its automatic unloading and secure transportation of medicines.
